Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint water shielding method capable of obtaining a joint having a high water shielding performance with a simple method at a low cost.SOLUTION: The joint water shielding method includes the steps of: filling a female joint 3 with a water stop material 6 of inorganic gelatinous composition, in which a slit 31 is covered with a cladding material 5 and the bottom is covered by a lid member; inserting a diameter-enlarged head of a male joint 4 into a female joint 3 while cutting the cladding material 5 with the male joint 4; and shielding the cut part 51 of the cladding material 5 with the water stop material 6 which becomes surplus due to the inserted diameter-enlarged head of the male joint 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】安価でかつ簡略な方法により、高い遮水性能を有する継手を構築することが可能な、継手の遮水方法を提供する。【解決手段】スリット31が被覆材5にて被覆されるとともに、底部が蓋材にて閉塞された雌継手3に、無機系のゲル状組成物よりなる遮水材6を充填した後、雄継手4にて被覆材5を切断しつつ、雌継手3に雄継手4の拡径頭部を挿入するとともに、雄継手4の拡径頭部が挿入されたことで余剰となった遮水材6にて、被覆材5の切断部51を閉塞する。【選択図】図1
