PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device which can reduce flipping sound when there is no flexure in a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance device 50 comprises: a sheet feeding roller 62 which conveys sheets; a register roller 63 which is provided on the downstream side of the sheet feeding roller 62; and a size detection part (width detection sensor 51a and length detection sensor 51b) which detects the size of the conveyed sheet. The sheet feeding roller 62 executes a flexure operation of forming flexure on the sheet by conveying the sheet in the state where the tip of the sheet is brought into contact with the stopped register roller 63, and stops by reducing its speed after starting conveyance of the sheet formed with the flexure by the register roller 63. The conveyance speed of the sheet feeding roller 62 is selected from any of a plurality of preset deceleration patterns in accordance with the size of the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】用紙の撓みが無くなったときの弾き音を低減することができる用紙搬送装置を提供する。【解決手段】用紙搬送装置５０は、用紙を搬送する給紙ローラ６２と、給紙ローラ６２の下流に設けられたレジストローラ６３と、搬送する用紙のサイズを検知するサイズ検知部（幅検知センサ５１ａおよび長さ検知センサ５１ｂ）とを備えている。給紙ローラ６２は、停止したレジストローラ６３に用紙の先端を当接させた状態で、用紙を搬送することによって、用紙に撓みを形成する撓み動作を実施し、レジストローラ６３が撓みを形成された用紙の搬送を開始した後、減速して停止する。給紙ローラ６２の搬送速度は、用紙のサイズに応じて、予め設定された複数の減速パターンのなかから、いずれかが選択される。【選択図】図２
