PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large towering structure demolition method capable of easily and safely demolishing a lower layer of multi-leg steel stack only by a work on the ground in a short time after completing demolition of an upper layer.SOLUTION: (a) A lifting device with a penetration beam capable of lifting up and down by a jack is installed so as to surround a brace of a large towering structure. (b) The penetration beam is passed through a vertically long opening formed at lower part of the brace and fixed to the jack. (c) The large towering structure is lifted up through the penetration beam after lifting up the penetration beam by the jack. (d) The lower part of the brace is cut and removed. (e) The large towering structure is lifted down by the jack. The processes (b) through (e) are repeated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】上層部の解体が終了した多脚型鋼製煙突の下層部を、地上での作業のみで容易に安全かつ短時間に解体することが可能である、大型塔状構造物の解体方法を提供する。【解決手段】（ａ）大型塔状構造物の支柱を取り囲むように、ジャッキにより昇降可能な貫通梁を備えた昇降装置を設置し、（ｂ）前記支柱の下部にあけた縦長の開口に前記貫通梁を通し、前記貫通梁を前記ジャッキに固定し、（ｃ）前記ジャッキにより前記貫通梁を上昇させて、前記大型塔状構造物を前記貫通梁を介して吊り上げ、（ｄ）前記支柱の下部を切断し、撤去し、（ｅ）前記ジャッキにより前記大型塔状構造物を吊り下ろす。前記（ｂ）工程から（ｅ）工程を繰り返し行う。【選択図】図２
