PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post capable of securing sufficient waterproof performance while having improved appearance quality.SOLUTION: A post 10 includes: a post body 14 having an insertion space 14a; a mouthpiece 16 attached to an outer periphery on a front side so as to form the insertion space of the post body 14; and a mailing door 18 openably arranged on the front side of the post body 14. The mailing door 18 is arranged so as to allow the upper part to be arranged at a position to cover an upper surface 31 of the mouthpiece 16. The mouthpiece 16 has an eaves part 32 extending from a position over an inclined surface 41, which is the upper surface of the mailing door 18 in a direction away from the post body 14. In the post 10, the mouthpiece 16 has a vertical wall 30 at a height over the upper surface of the mailing door 18. A water cutoff material 34 is arranged between the vertical wall 30 and a front surface 12b of a wall 12 to which the post 10 is to be attached.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】外観品質を高めつつ、十分な防水性能を確保することができるポストを提供する。【解決手段】ポスト１０は、投入空間１４ａを有するポスト本体１４と、ポスト本体１４の投入空間を形成する前側の外周に取り付けた口金１６と、ポスト本体１４の前側に開閉可能に設けられた投函扉１８とを有し、投函扉１８は、その上部が口金１６の上面３１を覆う位置に設けられ、口金１６は、投函扉１８の上面である傾斜面４１を越えた位置からポスト本体１４から離間する方向に向かって延びた庇部３２を備える。このポスト１０では、口金１６は、投函扉１８の上面を越える高さの縦壁３０を備え、この縦壁３０と、ポスト１０の取付対象である壁部１２の前面１２ｂとの間に止水材３４が配設される。【選択図】図５
