Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that suppresses deviation of the zero-cross point of a tracking error signal and hardly generates off-track.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes: a light source; an objective lens; a beam splitter; an optical element; a detector; and an operation circuit. The optical element divides an optical beam into: a first main area including an area where + primary diffraction light and zero order light of a track overlaps; a second main area including an area where - primary diffraction light and zero order light overlaps; a first main end area including both ends of a track tangential direction of an area where + primary diffraction light and zero order light overlaps; a second main end area including both ends of a track tangential direction of an area where - primary diffraction light and zero order light overlaps; a first sub area located further at both ends in the track tangential direction; and a second sub area located further at both ends in the track tangential direction. The operation circuit generates a main signal that is obtained by multiplying a first main end area signal by a coefficient α and being added to a first main area signal and a main signal that is obtained by multiplying a second main end area signal by the coefficient α and being added to a second main area signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】トラッキング誤差信号のゼロクロス点のずれを抑制し、オフトラックが発生しにくい記録装置を提供する。【解決手段】記録装置は光源、対物レンズ、ビームスプリッタ、光学素子、検出器と演算回路を含む。光学素子は光ビームをトラックの+1次回折光と0次光とが重なる領域を含む第1のメイン領域、−1次回折光と0次光とが重なる領域を含む第2のメイン領域、+1次回折光と0次光とが重なる領域のトラック接線方向両端を含む第1のメイン端領域、−1次回折光と0次光とが重なる領域のトラック接線方向両端を含む第2のメイン端領域、トラック接線方向に更に両端に位置する第1のサブ領域、トラック接線方向に更に両端に位置する第2のサブ領域とに分割する。演算回路は、第1のメイン端領域信号に係数αを掛け第1のメイン領域信号に加えたメイン信号と、第2のメイン端領域信号に係数αを掛け第2のメイン領域信号に加えたメイン信号を生成する。【選択図】図3 |
