Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demolition method of a multi-leg steel stack, which can easily, safely, and economically demolish the stack without using a climbing crane.SOLUTION: An upper inclined part 5 is cut off by repeatedly carrying out a process to cut off a lower part of a central cylindrical body 2 and a lower part of the upper inclined part 5 and subsequently hang the central cylindrical body 2 along with an outer cylindrical body 3 down by a first jack 12. A parallel part 7 is cut off by repeatedly carrying out a process to hang the central cylindrical body 2 down by the first jack 12 after cutting off the lower parts of the central cylindrical body 2 and the parallel part 7. Subsequently the first jack 12 is replaced with a second jack 15 and the lower part of the central cylindrical body 2 is cut off. Subsequently the central cylindrical body 2 is hanged down by the second jack 15, and when an apex 4 passes through an upper part of a lower inclined part 6, the second jack 15 is replaced with the first jack 12 to cut off the lower part of the central cylindrical body. Subsequently, the central cylindrical body 2 along with the apex 4 are hanged down by the first jack 12 to remove the apex 4 and then remove the lower inclined part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
