Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed roller having such a structure that a contact area increases at low cost.SOLUTION: A paper feed roller 1 is formed of a cylindrical inner layer part 2 and an outer layer part 3 which is deposited on the outer periphery of the inner layer par 2 and has uniform thickness. The inner layer part 2 and the outer layer part 3 are formed of a rubber material and a synthetic resin having elasticity and flexibility, and the outer layer part 3 is formed of a slightly harder material than that of the inner layer part 2. The inner layer part 2 has an inner ring part 2b having a shaft hole part 2a penetrated through the center, and an outer ring part 2c which is arranged outside of the inner ring par 2b concentrically to the inner ring part 2b at predetermined intervals, and a plurality of connection walls 2d connecting the inner ring part 2b and the outer ring part 2c.
