Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous composition for foam rubber, which is excellent in foaming characteristics in a foaming step in the production of foam rubber using the aqueous composition and allows for production of foam rubber excellent in balance between feeling and resilience.SOLUTION: The aqueous composition for foam rubber is provided that is an aqueous composition containing (I) copolymer latex which is obtained by emulsion-polymerizing 50-90 wt.% of an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer, 10-50 wt.% of a vinylcyanide monomer, and 0-20 wt.% of the other monomer copolymerizable with the monomers, and (II) a water-soluble polymer, the solid concentration of the aqueous composition being 60 wt.% or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: None
