Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing apparatus capable of controlling a position of a plate holding member by a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: A pressing apparatus 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a punch 5; a die 7; a plate holding member 9 supported by a compression pin 19 extending from the punch 5 toward the die 7; a cam slider 13 slidably mounted on the die 7; and a cam driver 11 for sliding the cam slider 13. After the plate holding member 9 and the die 7 clamp a workpiece 3, the die 7 relatively moves toward the punch 5, and the cam driver 11 abuts the cam slider 13, thus sliding the cam slider 13.
