Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that prior art has, i.e., to provide an observation system which makes it possible to process measured data directly without performing filtering and averaging processes and thereby reduce a calculation time and calculation costs.SOLUTION: This observation system comprises positioning means, positioning data storage means, sample extraction means, representative sample value calculation means, observed value calculation means, and displacement vector calculation means, the observation system finding the displacement of an observation point by satellite positioning. The sample extraction means handles positioning data within a prescribed time dating back to an observation time of day as an original sample, and the representative sample value calculation means calculates a representative sample value that represents the original sample.
