Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator and a tunnel excavation method that facilitate excavation work when excavating a preceding tunnel in a defective ground, while suppressing increase in machine body length.SOLUTION: A tunnel excavator includes: a cutter head 12 supported rotatably on a front part of an excavator body 11, for excavating a pit face in a ground; a bulk head 20 having a chamber 27 for storing excavation sediment generated as the cutter head 12 excavates the ground, formed between the cutter head 12 and the bulk head; a cutter-side opening 34 formed on the cutter head 12; a cutter-side door 35 that opens/closes the cutter-side opening 34; a partition wall-side opening 21 formed in the bulk head 20; and a partition wall-side door 28 that opens/closes the partition wall-side opening 21. When excavating a preceding tunnel Ta from inside the excavator body 11 into a pit face that opens in front through the opened partition wall-side opening 28 and the cutter-side opening 35, the fully opened cutter-side door 35 is brought into contact with the fully opened partition wall-side door 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】機体長さを抑えつつ、先行トンネルを不良地盤に掘削する際の掘削作業を容易に行うことができるトンネル掘削機及びトンネル施工方法を提供する。【解決手段】掘削機本体11の前部に回転可能に支持され、地盤に切羽を掘削するカッタヘッド12と、カッタヘッド12の掘削に伴って発生した掘削土砂を蓄えるチャンバ27をカッタヘッド12との間において形成するバルクヘッド20と、カッタヘッド12に形成されるカッタ側開口部34と、カッタ側開口部34を開閉するカッタ側開閉扉35と、バルクヘッド20に形成される隔壁側開口部21と、隔壁側開口部21を開閉する隔壁側開閉扉28とを備え、開放された隔壁側開口部28及びカッタ側開口部35を通じて前方に開いた切羽に対して、先行トンネルTaを掘削機本体11内から掘削可能とする際に、全開させたカッタ側開閉扉35を、全開させた隔壁側開閉扉28に当接させる。【選択図】図3 |
