Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for purifying methylamine which can remove impurities from crude methylamine containing low boiling point impurities and water as impurities in a simplified method.SOLUTION: There is provided a methylamine purification apparatus 100 in which control means 5 controls discharge operation of low boiling point impurities from crude methylamine in a storage tank 1 by opening a first valve 611 in a state where a second valve 631 and a third valve 641 are closed and controls adsorption and removal operation of moisture in adsorption means 2 after the discharge operation by opening the second valve 631 and the third valve 641 after closing the first valve 611.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
