Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of improving extraction efficiency of light emitted from a light-emitting element, being miniaturized, enhancing luminous efficiency, and achieving light-emitting characteristics with suppressed color unevenness and luminance unevenness.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes: a covering member containing light-reflective material; a light transmission member which has a light-emitting side surface and a light-incident side surface facing a surface of the covering member and arranged in the surface; and a light-emitting element and a wavelength conversion member coupled to an incident region side of the light-emitting element and excited by the light-emitting element in a light source part which is coupled to an incident region surrounded by an outside reflection region on the light-incident side surface of the light transmission member and is partially embedded in the covering member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】発光素子から出射される光の取り出し効率を向上させること、小型化できること、発光効率を高くすること、色むら、輝度むらを抑えた発光特性とすること、が可能な発光装置を提供する。【解決手段】光反射性材料を含有する被覆部材と、発光側の表面と、前記被覆部材の表面に対向し、該表面内に配置された光入射側の表面とを有する光透過部材と、前記光透過部材の光入射側表面において、外側の反射領域に囲まれた入射領域に結合し、前記被覆部材に一部が埋め込まれた光源部に、発光素子と、該発光素子の前記入射領域側に結合され、該発光素子に励起される波長変換部材と、を備える発光装置。【選択図】図1
