Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an alignment property in a liquid crystal cell to reduce the occurrence of defects.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal cell 15 is used for a light control material that controls transmitted light with a liquid crystal material 14, formed by sandwiching the liquid crystal material with a pair of films 12 and 13 for a liquid crystal alignment layer having transparent electrodes 22A and 22B and alignment layers 23A and 23B sequentially formed on transparent film materials 21A and 21B, and has spacers 24 formed of a transparent resin material in at least one (13) of the pair of films 12 and 13 for a liquid crystal alignment layer.
