Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship steering device which can easily determine a prescribed amendment factor regardless of a physical relationship of a side thruster and a forward/backward propeller with respect to centroid of the ship and a shape of the ship.SOLUTION: A ship steering device of a ship 100 comprises: a forward/backward propeller 4 to which power is transmitted through a propeller shaft 4a; and a side thruster 6 which generates thrust in a crosswise direction of the ship 100. The ship steering device includes a joystick lever which instructs propulsion direction of the ship 100 and magnitude of the thrust by inclination direction and inclination angle. Traverse thrust by the side thruster 6 is generated according to inclination operation of the joystick lever, a first amendment thrust by the forward/backward propeller 4 is generated according to turning operation of the joystick lever to cancel the rotation moment generated by the traverse thrust, and a first amendment factor is determined to calculate the first amendment thrust with respect to the traverse thrust.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
