Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine capable of restricting disadvantage of adhesion of worn-out debris of an electrical power supply brush to an angle detecting means and assuring a superior detecting accuracy about the angular detecting means.SOLUTION: Electrical power supplying brushes 47a, 47b are arranged at a peripheral position where they are overlapped on a target 64 just above the target 64 of an angular sensor 60 in a vertical direction so as to restrict some disadvantages that worn-out debris of the power supply brushes 47a, 47b dropped due to gravity force are adhered to the target 64 and then it is possible to assure a superior detection accuracy about the angular sensor 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】給電用ブラシの摩耗粉が角度検出手段に付着する不具合を抑制して、該角度検出手段について良好な検出精度を確保し得る内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】給電用ブラシ47a,47bを、角度センサ60のターゲット64の鉛直方向直上にて該ターゲット64と重合しない周方向位置に配置したことで、重力により降下した給電用ブラシ47a,47bの摩耗粉がターゲット64へと付着してしまう不都合が抑制され、角度センサ60について良好な検出精度を確保することができる。【選択図】図7
