Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with sensor and control method of the display device that can attain reduction in power consumption of a drive electrode of an input sensor and improvement in driving frequency thereof according to an embodiment.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a first substrate comprises: gate wiring that extends in a first direction; source wiring that extends in a second direction crossing the first direction; a switching element that is electrically connected to the gate wiring and source wiring; and a pixel electrode that is electrically connected to the switching element. Further, the first substrate comprises: a common electrode that opposes the pixel electrode and extends in the first direction; and a detection electrode element that extends in parallel with the common electrode, and is required for sensing in a proximity state of an external conductor made up of a metal material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
