Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device in which rollers kept at engagement releasing positions hardly generate erroneous engagement.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a rotation transmission device comprising: a cylindrical surface 13 arranged at an inner periphery of an outer ring 2; a cam surface 12 arranged at an outer periphery of an inner ring 3; a pair of rollers 4a, 4b assembled while being oppositely faced in a peripheral direction between the cylindrical surface 13 and the cam surface 12; a roller repelling spring 14 for biasing the pair of rollers 4a, 4b; a spring holding part 22 arranged between the pair of rollers 4a, 4b; the first roller holder 5a for holding one roller 4a; the second roller holder 5b for holding the other roller 4b; and a holder actuator 6 for relatively moving the first roller holder 5a and the second roller holder 5b so as to cause the rollers 4a, 4b to be moved between an engaged position and an engagement releasing position.
