Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam shaft supporting wall structure of an internal combustion engine capable of miniaturizing a cylinder head by reducing a clearance gap of a supporting wall.SOLUTION: A pair of supporting walls 62c, 62d are integrally formed on a cylinder head 62 in a projecting manner, a cam shaft 101 is supported by the pair while holding a cam for intake 101b and a cam for exhaust 101c, a side face facing the cam for intake 101b and the cam for exhaust 101c of at least one of the supporting walls 62c, 62d is inclined so that a clearance gap of the pair of supporting walls 62c, 62d becomes wider toward a tip side of the supporting walls 62c, 62d, and recessed portions 110f, 100z are formed on side faces facing the cam for intake 101b and the cam for exhaust 101c, of the supporting walls 62c, 62d for preventing interference with the supporting walls 62c, 62d in rotating the cam for intake 101b and the cam for exhaust 101c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】支持壁の間隔を小さくしてシリンダヘッドの小型化を図ることが可能な内燃機関のカムシャフト支持壁構造を提供する。【解決手段】支持壁62c,62dは、シリンダヘッド62に一体に一対突出形成されて、吸気用カム101b及び排気用カム101cを挟むようにカムシャフト101を一対で支持するとともに、一対の支持壁62c,62dの間隔が支持壁62c,62dの先端側ほど広くなるように少なくとも一方の支持壁62c,62dの吸気用カム101b及び排気用カム101cに面する側面が傾斜し、支持壁62c,62dの吸気用カム101b及び排気用カム101cに面する側面に、吸気用カム101b及び排気用カム101cが回転する際に支持壁62c,62dとの干渉を避ける凹部110f,100zが形成される。【選択図】図10
