Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device of a vehicle having "a pressure mechanism driven by an electric motor" and "pressure adjusting means (fluid pressure modulator)" in which the electric motor is small-sized, and the responsiveness on an increase in brake fluid pressure is excellent.SOLUTION: Pressure adjusting means (MJR) is interposed in the middle of a first fluid passage (H1) that connects a pressure mechanism (KAK) and a wheel cylinder (WC). A second fluid passage (H2) that connects the pressure mechanism (KAK) and the wheel cylinder (WC) is provided without passing through the pressure adjusting means (MJR). Opening/closing means (VPR and SNT) are provided that selectively achieve a first state in which only the first fluid passage (H1) is communicated of the first and second fluid passages (H1 and H2) and a second state in which at least the second fluid passage (H2) is communicated of the first and second fluid passages (H1 and H2).
