Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a buried magnet type rotor that a bridge portion constructed by a punched steel plate exists at the outer peripheral side of a rotor core in the neighborhood of adjacent magnets having different poles, and thus leakage magnetic flux occurs through the bridge portion, so that the surface magnetic flux density of the rotor is reduced.SOLUTION: In a buried magnet type rotor having a rotating shaft, a rotor core comprising a stack of plural punched steel plates, and a bond magnet provided inside the rotor core, when a straight line connecting the rotational center of the rotor core and the magnetic pole center of the bond magnet is represented by d-axis and a straight line connecting the rotational center and an intermediate point of the adjacent bond magnet is represented by q-axis, an occupation rate A in the neighborhood of the outer periphery of the rotor core on the d-axis is set to be larger than an occupation rate B in the neighborhood of the outer periphery on the q-axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
