Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focus detection accuracy while preventing deterioration of image quality of captured images.SOLUTION: An image sensor comprises a plurality of normal pixels that are arranged in a substantially matrix pattern to capture images, and a plurality of large defocus detection pixel pairs that are used when a defocus amount is larger than a preset value.
