Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly aseismatic flat glass panel device having a plurality of glass sheets installed continuously on a straight line without a support in between, capable of preventing fall off of and damage to the glass sheets without leaving a large clearance along a wall surface or a corner part, even when an especially large interlayer displacement has taken place.SOLUTION: A highly aseismatic flat glass panel device includes a pair of adjacent glass sheets of which one is a fixed glass sheet 5 that restricts out-of-plane displacement and the other is a movable glass sheet 6 that allows out-of-plane and in-plane displacement. The fixed glass sheet and the movable glass sheet are installed continuously on a straight line by connecting slanted surfaces 9 formed on edge members 7 installed along an edge part of the fixed glass sheet and an edge part of the movable glass sheet. When force is exerted on the movable glass sheet to move closer to the fixed glass sheet due to an interlayer displacement at a time of an earthquake, the slanted surfaces of both edge members slide to cause out-of-plane displacement of the movable glass sheet while causing in-plane displacement of the fixed glass sheet, allowing the glass sheets to slide in opposite directions without directly contacting each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】複数のガラス板が支柱を介さずに同一直線上に連設されたフラットガラスパネル装置において、特に大きな層間変位が生じても、壁面やコーナー部に大きなクリアランスを設けなくてもガラス板の脱落や破損の恐れがない高耐震性フラットガラスパネル装置を提供する。
