Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor of an internal low pressure type, capable of reducing a size by including an oil separator therein and suppressing outflow of oil to outside of the compressor.SOLUTION: An intermittent oil supply mechanism 50 is configured to supply a two-phase flow consisting of part of gas refrigerant separated by an oil separator 40 and oil into a case 30 in a manner such that the gas refrigerant in the two-phase flow flows into a throttle passage 501a as a gas flow. Assuming that the intermittent oil supply mechanism 50 throttles an oil flow to the extent that an entire quantity of the oil separated by the oil separator 40 is unable to pass through the intermittent oil supply mechanism 50, the throttle passage 501a is filled with the oil and there is no room for the flow of the gas refrigerant into the throttle passage 501a as a gas flow. The intermittent oil supply mechanism 50, by contrast, allows the entire quantity of the oil separated by the oil separator 40 to pass through the intermittent oil supply mechanism 50.
