Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance latch strength in the axial direction by a ring member.SOLUTION: A ring member 90 is mounted over the outer peripheral parts of a ratchet 10 and a guide 20 both disposed in a recliner 4, and functioning to latch them in the axial direction, the ring member 90 including: a press part for being abutted against the outer peripheral part of the ratchet 10 from outside in the axial direction; and a connection part 92 for being connected to the outer peripheral part of the guide 20. The connection part 92 is configured to be connected to the outer peripheral part by being caulked to the outer peripheral part of the guide 20 in a sandwiching manner from both sides in the axial direction; some parts of the connection part 92 in the circumferential direction form caulking pieces 92A for being caulked to the outer peripheral part from a position extending outside in the axial direction toward inside in the radial direction. The connection part 92 is disposed with its caulking pieces 92A's corner parts in the circumferential direction, which are at the top ends of their bent portions, being cut off (chamfered parts 92A1) so as to be in a state to avoid interferences with projections 24C on the outer faces of the guide 20 in the axial direction. 【課題】リング部材による軸方向の外れ止め強度を向上させる。【解決手段】リクライナ4のラチェット10とガイド20との外周部間に跨って装着されてこれらの軸方向の外れ止めをするリング部材90は、ラチェット10の外周部に軸方向の外側からあてがわれる押さえ部と、ガイド20の外周部に結合される結合部92と、を有する。結合部92は、ガイド20の外周部を軸方向の両側から挟むようにかしめられることで同外周部に結合される構成とされ、その円周方向の一部箇所が上記外周部を軸方向の外側に越えた位置から半径方向の内側にかしめられるかしめ片92Aとされて、かしめ片92Aの曲げられた先の円周方向の角部がカットされて(面取り部92A1)ガイド20の軸方向の外側面上の突起物24Cとの干渉を回避した状態として設けられている。【選択図】図6
