Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in which a subcarrier allocated to a communication device is continuous or non-continuous, and signaling of the allocated subcarrier is reduced.SOLUTION: A method for determining a value derived from parameters enabling a mobile station to identify resources includes the steps of: allocating resources to a mobile station; determining a couple of first and second parameters which correspond to the allocated resources, the determined couple having a rank among the couples corresponding to possible allocated resources; obtaining a value which is at least equal to a sum of the number of values that can be taken by a third parameter for each couple of first and second parameters which has a lower rank than the determined couple of first and second parameters; and transferring the determined value to the mobile station.
