Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of noise and abnormal sound at the time of a motor starting.SOLUTION: A brush device 40 comprises a holding wall 56 that is formed on a base plate 42 and is disposed on the outside of a coil part 82 in the direction of the width of a brush 70. The diameter dimension D of the coil part 82 is set to be larger than a distance L between a side face 70A of the brush 70 and an opposite wall 56A of the holding wall 56. For this reason, in a state in which the coil part 82 is mounted on a pedestal part 52, the coil part 82 is held by the side face 70A of the brush 70 and the opposite wall 56A of the holding wall 56 and is bent and deformed in the radial direction toward the inside of the coil part 82. For this reason, reactive force acts from the opposite wall 56A to the coil part 82; the reactive force makes the coil part 82 energize the brush 70 in the direction of the width of the brush 70 toward the inside of the brush 70. Thereby, vibration of the brush 70 in the circumferential direction of a commutator 32 is suppressed; generation of noise and abnormal sound at the time of a motor 10 starting can be suppressed. 【課題】モータ作動時における騒音及び異音の発生を抑制する。【解決手段】ブラシ装置40では、ベースプレート42に狭持壁56が形成され、狭持壁56はコイル部82に対してブラシ70の幅方向外側に配置されている。また、コイル部82の直径寸法Dが、ブラシ70の側面70Aと狭持壁56の対向壁56Aとの間の距離Lに比べて大きく設定されている。このため、コイル部82が台座部52上に載置された状態では、ブラシ70の側面70Aと狭持壁56の対向壁56Aとによってコイル部82が狭持されて、コイル部82が自身の径方向内側へ撓み変形する。このため、対向壁56Aからコイル部82へ反力が作用して、当該反力によってコイル部82がブラシ70をブラシ70の幅方向内側へ付勢している。これにより、コンミテータ32の周方向にブラシ70が振動することが抑制される。したがって、モータ10の作動時における騒音及び異音の発生を抑制できる。【選択図】図1A
