Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing with satisfactory image quality by reducing occurrence of cockling.SOLUTION: An inkjet printing apparatus 1 includes: a head 8 to discharge an ultraviolet curable ink onto media M; irradiation parts for pinning 9A and 9B to irradiate light to the ultraviolet curable ink on the media M; and an irradiation part for curing 10 that is located on a downstream side in a transport direction of the media M and irradiates light having a shorter wavelength than the irradiation parts for pinning 9A and 9B to the ultraviolet curable ink on the media M. 【課題】コックリングの発生を抑え、良好な画質で印刷を可能にする。【解決手段】インクジェット印刷装置1は、メディアMに対して、紫外線硬化型インクを吐出するヘッド8と、メディアM上の紫外線硬化型インクに光を照射するピニング用照射部9A,9Bと、メディアMの搬送方向の下流側に位置し、メディアM上の紫外線硬化型インクに、ピニング用照射部9A,9Bよりも短波長の光を照射するキュア用照射部10とを備える。【選択図】図2
