Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing seed particle capable of manufacturing a coated film excellent in water resistance and weather resistance and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing an aqueous dispersion of fluoride-containing seed polymer (B) particle including (I) a process of manufacturing an aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing polymer (A) particle by aqueous dispersion polymerization of a monomer containing at least one kind of fluoroolefin (a) in a presence of a surfactant and (II) a process of seed polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b) with the fluorine-containing polymer (A) particle in presence of an anionic surfactant (4) represented by the formula (4):CH=CHCH-O-R-X (4), where Ris a hydrocarbon chain which may have an oxygen atom and/or a nitrogen atom and X is SOY (where Y is NHor an alkali metal), and a nonionic surfactant (5) represented by the formula (5):CH=CHCH-O-R(5), where Ris a hydrocarbon group having a nonionic hydrophilic group in the aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer (A).
