Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color reproducibility while suppressing a decrease in luminance.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 10 includes: LEDs 17 which emit blue light having a light emission spectrum of less than 25 nm in half-value width at a peak wavelength of 440 nm±2 nm to 450 nm±2 nm, green light having a light emission spectrum of less than 52 nm in half-value width at a peak wavelength of 525 nm±2 nm to 540 nm±2 nm, and red light having a light emission spectrum of less than 40 nm in half-value width at a peak wavelength of 620 nm±2 nm to 645 nm±2 nm; and color filters 29 having a blue coloration part 29B which has a transmission spectrum of less than 100 nm in half-value width at a peak wavelength of 440 nm to 461.5 nm, a green coloration part 29G which has a transmission spectrum of less than 90 nm in half-value width at a peak wavelength of 510 nm to 533.5 nm, and a red coloration part 29R which has a transmission spectrum at the half-value of a peak wavelength of 580 nm or larger.
