PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve embossing of 1-ply base paper having a first surface that is brought into press-contact with a heating surface thereby having smoothness and a second surface that has no such a smoothness, the embossing meeting specification requested from a surface and rear surface of the 1-ply base paper.SOLUTION: A method for producing a rolled sanitary paper is provided which comprises a step of first forming micro embossment on a second surface and a step of then forming design embossment on a first surface. Thus, the micro embossment properly adjusted in advance is formed in the embossing of the second surface, so that a desired texture can be imparted to the rolled sanitary paper. Design embossment on the first surface is formed after the formation of the micro embossment, so that a desired design can be obtained without collapsing the design embossment. 【課題】加熱面に圧接されたことで平滑性が高くなっている第１面と、そうでない第２面とを有する１プライの原紙に対し、表裏各面に要望される仕様に沿ったエンボス加工を施すことができるようにする。【解決手段】まず、第２面に対してマイクロエンボスの形成を行い、その後に第１面に対してデザインエンボスの形成を行う。これにより、第２面に対するエンボス加工では予め適切に調整されたマイクロエンボスの形成を行うことで、ロール状衛生用紙に所望の風合いを付与することが可能となる。また、第１面に対するデザインエンボスの形成をその後に行うことで、デザインエンボスの潰れが生じることなく、所望のとおりの意匠を得ることが可能となる。【選択図】図１
