PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate penetration of pretreatment liquid into a medium in a liquid discharge device having a configuration where the medium is caused to adhere to a surface of a conveyor belt and liquid is discharged while the medium is being transported.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a conveyor belt 9 causing a medium M to adhere to an adhesive layer 7 of a surface and transporting the medium M; a pressure roller 15 causing the medium M to adhere to the conveyor belt 9; and an adhesion section 17 being provided at an upstream position of the pressure roller 15 in a movement path 5 of the conveyor belt 9 and causing pretreatment liquid L to adhere to the conveyor belt 9. The medium M is caused to adhere to the conveyor belt 9 in a state of adhesion of the pretreatment liquid L by the pressure roller 15. Alternatively, the medium M is caused to adhere to the conveyor belt 9 by the pressure roller 15 in a state of adhesion of the pretreatment liquid L. 【課題】搬送ベルトの表面に媒体を貼り付けて搬送しながら液体を吐出する構成の液体吐出装置において、前処理液を媒体に浸透しやすくすることにある。【解決手段】本発明の液体吐出装置は、表面の粘着層７に媒体Ｍを貼り付けて搬送する搬送ベルト９と、搬送ベルト９に媒体Ｍを貼り付ける加圧ローラー１５と、搬送ベルト９の移動経路５における加圧ローラー１５の上流位置に設けられ、搬送ベルト９に前処理液Ｌを付着させる付着部１７とを備え、前処理液Ｌが付着された状態の搬送ベルト９に加圧ローラー１５により媒体Ｍが貼り付けられる。又は前処理液Ｌが付着された状態の加圧ローラー１５により搬送ベルト９に媒体Ｍが貼り付けられる。【選択図】図２
