Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covered electric wire with a terminal, capable of inhibiting the corrosion of an electrical contact part; a manufacturing method thereof; and a wire harness.SOLUTION: A terminal fitting 5 formed from a component 9 cut out in a prescribed spread shape of a terminal from a plated metal plate 8 of copper based metal is used. The exposed copper based metal part at the cross section is pretreated with a pretreatment agent including at least one selected form a rust inhibitor, a binder resin, a silane coupling agent, and alkoxy silane. A covered electric wire 2 includes an electric wire conductor 3 covered with an insulator 4. The electric wire conductor 3 is connected to the terminal fitting 5. The contact part 6 between the terminal fitting 5 and the electric wire conductor 3 is covered with a corrosion inhibitor 7. A covered electric wire 1 with a terminal is thus obtained.
