PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized vehicle opening and closing device.SOLUTION: A vehicle opening and closing device to open and close a closing body installed on a vehicle body comprises: a drum 29 around which a cable 18 connected to the closing body is wound; an outer case 31 for movably supporting the cable 18 in a lengthwise direction; a roller 45 installed movably in a direction along a center line B1 on which the cable 18 is hung between the drum 29 and the outer case 31; a stopper 52 for changing a position of the roller 45 in the direction along the center line B1; a coil spring 50, which is stretchable in the direction along the center line B1 and giving tensile force to the cable 18 by pressing the roller 45 to the cable 18. The coil spring 50 is placed at positions of the cable 18 between the drum 29 and the roller 45 and between the outer case 31 and the roller 45. 【課題】 車両用開閉装置を小型化する。【解決手段】車体に設けた開閉体を開閉する車両用開閉装置であって、開閉体に接続されたケーブル１８が巻かれるドラム２９と、ケーブル１８を長さ方向に移動可能に支持するアウタケース３１と、中心線Ｂ１に沿った方向に移動可能に設けられ、かつ、ドラム２９とアウタケース３１との間でケーブル１８が掛けられるローラ４５と、中心線Ｂ１に沿った方向でローラ４５の位置を変更するストッパ５２と、中心線Ｂ１に沿った方向に伸縮可能であり、かつ、ローラ４５をケーブル１８に押し付けてケーブル１８に張力を与えるコイルバネ５０と、を有し、コイルバネ５０は、ケーブル１８のうちドラム２９からローラ４５に至る箇所と、ケーブル１８のうちアウタケース３１からローラ４５に至る箇所との間に配置されている。【選択図】図３
