Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a subject to be imaged without being affected by an ambient and unnecessary thermal noise, in a millimeter wave imaging apparatus for imaging the subject by receiving a thermal noise of a millimeter wave band emitted from the subject.SOLUTION: The millimeter wave imaging apparatus includes: an imaging chamber 8 formed of six rectangular shield plates 1-6 constituting front, back, right, and left side walls, a ceiling, and a floor; and an imaging device body 10 for imaging, as a subject 50, an imaging object coming into the imaging chamber 8. Of the six rectangular shield plates 1-6 constituting the imaging chamber 8, at least shield plate 1 on the imaging device body 10 side and the shield plate 2 facing the shield plate 1 are formed of cooling plates formed by filling water into a resin-made plate-like case. The internal water is circulated while being cooled via an external circulation device. 【課題】被写体から放射されるミリ波帯の熱雑音を受信することにより、被写体を撮像するミリ波撮像装置において、周囲の不要な熱雑音の影響を受けることなく、被写体を撮像できるようにする。【解決手段】ミリ波撮像装置は、前後左右の側壁と天井及び床を構成する6枚の矩形の遮蔽板1〜6にて構成される撮像室8と、撮像室8内に入った撮像対象者を被写体50として撮像する撮像装置本体10とを備える。撮像室8を構成する6枚の遮蔽板1〜6の内、少なくとも、撮像装置本体10側の遮蔽板1、及び、遮蔽板1に対向する遮蔽板2は、樹脂製の板状ケース内に水を充填してなる冷却板にて構成されており、内部の水は、外部の循環装置を介して、冷却されつつ循環される。【選択図】図2
