Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a coaxial two-wheeled vehicle that can efficiently utilizing regenerative electric power.SOLUTION: A method of controlling a coaxial two-wheeled vehicle includes: a pair of motors 25 which drive a pair of coaxially arranged wheels; and a switching circuit 25 which changes connections among a battery 21, a capacitor 22, a charging circuit 23, and the motors 25. Target capacity Qref of the capacitor 22 is calculated based upon a target speed Va of the coaxial two-wheeled vehicle, and when current capacity Qpnt of the capacitor is equal to or larger than the target capacitor Qref, the switching circuit 26 is so controlled as to drive the motors 25 by using the electric power of the capacitor 22. When the current capacity Qpnt of the capacitor is smaller than the target capacitor Qref, on the other hand, the switching circuit 26 is so controlled as to supply regenerative electric power generated by the motors 25 to the capacitor 22. 【課題】回生電力を効率的に利用することができる同軸二輪車の制御方法を提供することである。【解決手段】本発明にかかる同軸二輪車の制御方法は、同軸上に配置された一対の車輪を駆動する一対のモータ25と、バッテリ21とキャパシタ22と放電回路23とモータ25との接続を切り替える切替回路26と、を備える同軸二輪車の制御方法であって、同軸二輪車の目標速度Vaに基づいてキャパシタ22の目標容量Qrefを算出し、キャパシタの現在の容量Qpntが目標容量Qref以上の場合、キャパシタ22の電力を用いてモータ25を駆動するように切替回路26を制御する。一方、キャパシタ22の現在の容量Qpntが目標容量Qrefよりも小さい場合、モータ25で発生した回生電力をキャパシタ22に供給するように切替回路26を制御する。【選択図】図4
