PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which ensures weatherability and improves traction performance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises: a tread rubber 3c; a side wall rubber 6 covering the tread rubber 3c from a side surface of the tire; and a projection 8 formed in the side wall rubber 6. The rubber hardness of the tread rubber 3c is higher than the rubber hardness of the side wall rubber 6. The side wall rubber 6 has an inner rubber 6a and an outer rubber 6b, which branch inside and outside in a width direction, in the radial outside part. A tip P2 of the tread rubber 3c is sandwiched between the inner rubber 6a and the outer rubber 6b and disposed in the radial inner end than a radial outer end P3 of the projection 8. 【課題】耐候性を確保すると共に、トラクション性能を向上させた空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】トレッドゴム３ｃと、トレッドゴム３ｃをタイヤ側面から覆うサイドウォールゴム６と、サイドウォールゴム６に形成される突起８と、を有する。トレッドゴム３ｃのゴム硬度は、サイドウォールゴム６よりもゴム硬度が高い。サイドウォールゴム６は、幅方向内外に枝分かれする内側ゴム６ａ及び外側ゴム６ｂを径方向外側部に有する。トレッドゴム３ｃの先端Ｐ２は、内側ゴム６ａ及び外側ゴム６ｂに挟まれていると共に、突起８の径方向外端Ｐ３よりも径方向内端に配置されている。【選択図】図１
