Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for maintaining continuity of a shape in morphing of a line element or a beam element.SOLUTION: A morphing method for a coil shape component comprises the steps of: extracting a center line or a central axis from a model of coil to convert them to a line element or a beam element respectively; and automatically generating a plate element or a surface element from the converted line element or the converted beam element to implement morphing.
