Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchange apparatus that can reduce the amount of water discharged from a pressure tank for the purpose of discharging the retained water.SOLUTION: Provided is an ion exchange apparatus (1) including a pressure tank (2) for housing an ion exchange resin bed (211), circulation means (3) and circulation control means (510), in which it is characterized in that: the circulation control means (510) is configured so as to start a regeneration mode instead of starting a washing mode when a washing start condition is satisfied during the duration when a moving-up renewable condition is satisfied; the washing start condition is set so as not to start the washing mode during a predetermined duration immediately after the shift to a water treatment mode; the regeneration start condition is that an integrated water in-take amount (Q) is at least a water in-take possible amount or more; the integrated water in-take amount is the total amount of the raw water flowed through the pressure tank (2) during the water treatment mode executed after the finish of the regeneration mode of the last time; and the moving-up renewable condition is that the integrated water in-take amount (Q) is at least a moving-up renewable water in-take amount or more.
