Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of continuing system operation by effectively using the housing to be replaced even when a failure requiring housing replacement occurs.SOLUTION: A storage control device which houses each of a plurality of storage devices and controls a plurality of housings to be connected in cascade includes: a detection unit which detects a failure of a storage device included in any of the plurality of housings; a migration unit which migrates data in all the storage devices housed in a first housing which houses the first storage device which detected the failure to one or a plurality of storage devices housed in a second housing directly or indirectly connected in cascade to the first housing; and a connection control unit which continues connection of a relay unit of the first housing used for cascade connection and disconnects all the storage devices of the first housing.
【課題】筐体の交換が必要な障害が発生しても、交換対象の筐体を有効に活用して、システム運用を継続させる技術を提供する。【解決手段】複数の記憶装置をそれぞれ収容し、カスケード接続される複数の筐体の制御を行うストレージ制御装置は、複数の筐体のいずれかの筐体に含まれる記憶装置の障害を検出する検出部と、障害を検出した第1の記憶装置を収容する第1の筐体に収容された全ての記憶装置のデータを、第1の筐体に直接的にまたは間接的にカスケード接続された第2の筐体に収容された1または複数の記憶装置に移行する移行部と、カスケード接続に用いられる第1の筐体の中継部の接続は継続し、第1の筐体の全ての記憶装置の接続を切断する接続制御部と、を含むことにより、上記課題の解決を図る。【選択図】図1 |
