Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator system capable of cooling a device efficiently mainly by a natural wind in a down wind type windmill and having a high reliability.SOLUTION: A wind turbine generator system comprises: a tower 1; a nacelle 2 supported rotatably at the upper portion of said tower; a rotor supported rotatably by said nacelle and having a hub 3 and a blade 4; and a radiator 6 for cooling a device in said nacelle, wherein said rotor rotates on the lee side of said tower and said nacelle. The wind turbine generator system is characterized: in that said radiator is arranged outside and windward of said nacelle; and in that a suction port 7 and an intake flow passage enclosed by a wall surface are formed windward of said radiator.
