Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator system capable of cooling a device efficiently mainly by a natural wind in a down wind type windmill and having a high reliability.SOLUTION: A wind turbine generator system comprises: a tower 1; a nacelle 2 supported rotatably at the upper portion of said tower; a rotor supported rotatably by said nacelle and having a hub 3 and a blade 4; and a radiator 6 for cooling a device in said nacelle, wherein said rotor rotates on the lee side of said tower and said nacelle. The wind turbine generator system is characterized: in that said radiator is arranged outside and windward of said nacelle; and in that a suction port 7 and an intake flow passage enclosed by a wall surface are formed windward of said radiator. 【課題】ダウンウィンド型風車において、主に自然風により効率的に機器を冷却でき信頼性の高い風力発電設備を提供する。【解決手段】タワー1と、該タワー上部に回転可能に支持されるナセル2と、該ナセルに回転可能に支持されハブ3とブレード4を有するロータと、前記ナセル内の機器を冷却するラジエータ6を備え、前記タワーと前記ナセルの風下で前記ロータが回転する風力発電設備において、前記ラジエータは前記ナセルの外部かつ風上側に配置され、前記ラジエータの風上側には壁面に囲われた吸気口7と吸気流路が形成されていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
