Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst case integrated type exhaust manifold having a fewer number of components than a conventional one and capable of reducing production cost by reducing welding points and the like, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A catalyst case integrated type exhaust manifold (manifold converter) includes an exhaust manifold part 1 and a catalyst case part 5. The catalyst case part 5 includes: a substantially cylindrical case body 6 for holding a catalyst carrier; a cone 7 for connecting the case body 6 and the exhaust manifold part 1; and an outlet side shell 8 connected to a downstream side of the case body 6. The exhaust manifold part 1 and the catalyst case part 5 are formed by press working of a tailored blank material 30 comprising by welding at least two pieces of metal blank sheets (31, 32) different in material quality and/or plate thickness. In addition, the exhaust manifold part 1 and the cone 7 of the catalyst case part are formed by the same metal blank sheet (31) out of the plurality of metal blank sheets configuring the tailored blank material 30.
