Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-capturing device capable of highly accurate focus control.SOLUTION: The image-capturing device has an image-capturing element for photoelectrically converting an optical image obtained via a focus lens, focal point detection means for detecting, while being set to a first diaphragm value, a focal point on the basis of an image signal from the image-capturing element, and control means for controlling a focus position on the basis of a focal point detection signal from the focal point detection means. If a second diaphragm value which is set at photographing time differs from the first diaphragm value, the control means changes the focus position in accordance with a photographing condition and a change from the first diaphragm value to the second diaphragm value.
