Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tsunami evacuation structure capable of reducing human suffering caused by tsunami.SOLUTION: A tsunami evacuation structure includes: a foundation part 2 arranged lateral to an existing building 10; and a plurality of vertical frames 3 connected with the existing building 10 and erected on the foundation part 2 so as to face the existing building 10. In the vertical frames 3, a first evacuation space 32 is provided in the upper part thereof and a stairway 31 connected from the ground to the first evacuation space 32 is installed. Horizontal frames 4 respectively connected with the plurality of vertical frames 3 are provided above the existing building 10, and a second evacuation space 41 communicating with the first evacuation space 32 is provided in the horizontal frames 4.
