Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a barrel of an open-barrel crimp terminal unlikely to be buckled by caulking forces applied to a pair of caulking pieces when caulking and fixing a wire to the barrel by means of the caulking pieces.SOLUTION: When a core wire caulking piece 50 or a wire caulking piece 55 of a wire connection part 52 is curved and deformed inside at a certain degree, neighboring two protrusions 50a and 50a (55a and 55a) on an inner surface are abutted to each other to prevent the caulking piece from being curved and deformed inside anymore. Therefore, after the protrusions 50a and 50a (55a and 55a) are abutted to each other, a portion of the core wire caulking piece 50 or the wire caulking piece 55 closer to a distal end than the protrusion 50a (55a) is surely curved and deformed inside in a concentrated manner. Thus, the wire connection part 52 is prevented from being buckled and deformed or cracked by disabling the core wire caulking piece 50 or the wire caulking piece 55 from being curved and deformed, and a crimp defect of a crimp terminal 51 to a wire 61 or a conduction defect between both the wire 61 and the crimp terminal 51 can be prevented.
