Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a current flowing from a power supply circuit into a receiver circuit.SOLUTION: In an electronic device, a detection circuit 5 detects a voltage difference generated at both ends of at least a partial wiring portion 2 of a power supply wiring 7 by a current flowing in the power supply wiring 7 connecting a power supply circuit 1 and a receiver circuit 3. A current supply circuit 4 supplies a pilot current to the power supply wiring 7. A control circuit 6 controls the supply of the pilot current and the stoppage of supply by the current supply circuit 4. The control circuit 6 calculates a wiring resistance value of the wiring portion 2 on the basis of a value of the voltage difference detected by the detection circuit 5 when the supply of the pilot current is stopped, a value of the voltage difference detected by the detection circuit 5 when the pilot current is supplied, and a current value of the pilot current. The control circuit 6 calculates the current value of a main current flowing from the power supply circuit 1 into the receiver circuit 3 on the basis of the value of the voltage difference detected by the detection circuit 5 when the supply of the pilot current is stopped and the wiring resistance value.
