Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which is capable of reducing optical coupling loss and can be made compact.SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 positions a first optical fiber 100 and a second optical fiber 200 with axes thereof misaligned from each other in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis and comprises; a first housing 10 having a guide clamp portion 20 which aligns the axes of the first optical fiber 100 and the second optical fiber 200 by guiding a front end portion 200b of the second optical fiber 200 using guide grooves 31, 41 and clamps front end portions 100b, 200b of the first optical fiber 100 and the second optical fiber 200; and a second housing 50 having a pressing portion 63 which pressingly contacts the guide clamp portion 20 to adjust the clamping force. When the first housing 10 is engaged with the second housing 50, the front end portions 100b, 200b of the first optical fiber 100 and the second optical fiber 200 are clamped by the guide clamp portion 20 with front end surfaces 100a, 200a thereof positioned face-to-face with each other. 【課題】光接続損失を抑えることができ、かつ小型化することができる光コネクタを提供すること。【解決手段】光コネクタ1において、第一光ファイバ100と第二光ファイバ200とは光軸に対して垂直方向に軸がズレた状態で配置され、第一ハウジング10は、第二光ファイバ200の先端部200bをガイド溝31、41によってガイドすることで第一光ファイバ100と第二光ファイバ200の軸を合わせるとともに第一光ファイバ100と第二光ファイバ200との互いの先端部100b、200bを挟持するガイド挟持部20を有し、第二ハウジング50は、ガイド挟持部20を押圧するように接触して挟持力を調整する押圧部63を有し第一ハウジング10と第二ハウジング50とが係合すると、第一光ファイバ100と第二光ファイバ200の互いの先端面100a、200aを突き合わした状態で、互いの先端部100b、200bをガイド挟持部20によって挟持する。【選択図】図2
