Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide retardation increasing agent having excellent compatibility capable of adjusting a phase difference in a thickness direction in a positive direction by blending it in cellulosic resin, and applying large retardation, a cellulosic resin composition containing the retardation increasing agent and a film having excellent optical characteristics obtained from the cellulosic resin composition.SOLUTION: There is provided: retardation increasing agent comprising a specific urea derivative; a cellulosic resin composition configured by blending 0.1 to 30 pts.mass of retardation increasing agent or the retardation increasing agent, and a polyester compound in 100 pts.mass of cellulosic resin; and a film having excellent optical characteristics obtained from the cellulosic resin composition. 【課題】相溶性に優れ、かつセルロース系樹脂に配合することにより厚み方向の位相差を正の方向に調整することができ、しかも大きなリタデーションを付与し得るリタデーション上昇剤、該リタデーション上昇剤を含有するセルロース系樹脂組成物、該セルロース系樹脂組成物から得られる優れた光学特性を有するフィルムを提供する。【解決手段】特定のウレア誘導体からなるリタデーション上昇剤である。また、セルロース系樹脂100質量部に対し、このリタデーション上昇剤を0.1〜30質量部、または、該リタデーション上昇剤とポリエステル化合物を、配合してなるセルロース系樹脂組成物である。さらに、該セルロース系樹脂組成物から得られる優れた光学特性を有するフィルムである。【選択図】なし
