Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having high luminous efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a light-emitting device 1 which includes: a light-emitting element 2; a plurality of phosphors 31 which absorb at least part of light emitted from the light-emitting element 2 and emit wavelength-converted light; and a binder 32 which supports the plurality of phosphors in a dispersed state and is transparent to the light emitted from the light-emitting element 2 and the wavelength-converted light of the phosphors 31. The diameters of crystal particles of the phosphors 31 are 15 to 200 μm inclusive. Crystal particles of at least one of the phosphors 31 are each composed of 50 or less crystallites. 【課題】発光効率の高い発光装置を提供する。【解決手段】発光素子2と、発光素子2が発する光の少なくとも一部を吸収して波長変換光を発する複数の蛍光体31と、複数の蛍光体を分散させた状態で支持し、発光素子が発する光及び蛍光体の波長変換光に対して透明なバインダ32と、を有し、蛍光体31の結晶粒子の径は15μm以上200μm以下であり、少なくとも一つの蛍光体31の結晶粒子は、50個以下の結晶子で構成されている、発光装置1が提供される。【選択図】図1
