Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a water level and a water temperature of retained water and an atmospheric temperature of a place with bad environmental condition for measurement such as the inside of a nuclear reactor containment after an accident.SOLUTION: In a water level and temperature measuring device provided with a plurality of composite sensors 20 and measuring a water level and a temperature of an object domain, each of the plurality of composite sensors 20 includes: an electrode type water level sensor 30 having an interpole insulator 34 and two electrodes 31, 32 disposed via the interpole insulator 34, and detecting whether or not the electrodes are in a submerged state; and a temperature sensor 40 for measuring a temperature at a position of the electrode type water level sensor 30. The plurality of composite sensors 20 are arranged at spaces from one another in series along a longitudinal direction. The power source voltages of the electrodes of the electrode type water level sensor 30 may periodically change in polarity.
